Hey...That Picture from North Korea Looks Familiar

By Chris Rossini

The Washington Post is using the following image today:

I'm sure images are chosen carefully. Gotta portray those 'rogue nations' accurately after all.

It's funny though, because that picture looks very familiar:

Boy, those poor North Koreans are so brainwashed.

It's sad.

  1. Sadly the picture from North Korea makes more sense.

The military gets their "authority" to act like thugs and initiate violence against the innocent. It makes sense, in a twisted way, that the soldiers appreciate the source or their "authority."

However, the bozos in that picture a thrilled to be in a picture with a man that claims the right, unilaterally, to kill them, detain them indefinitely, torture them, etc...

    2. The US Constitution gives the govt the power to take life and liberty. The govt has to provide due process before doing so. That's been true for the federal govt since the 5th Amendment was ratified in 1791. States were not required to provide due process until after the 14th was passed.

The Constitution also gives Congress the power to suspend Habeas Corpus when "public Safety may require it."

Also, you need to understand when to use the word "right" and "power." Obama knows he has the power to take life and property so long as due process has been provided. He does not believe he has a "right" to do that. The "right" is the requirement that govt provide due process. Rights are limitations on govt's power.

    3. Nice try Jerry, but there no longer exists any due process limitations on the unilateral executive's power, aside from those he may choose to self impose. Just ask Abdulrahman al-Awlaki, for one.

    4. I've never read a bigger pile of shit than what you just posted.

Please quote the public safety exemption you list.

Please detail the "due process" that Obama used when killing people on his assassination list..... Oh right you can't... Because he used secret courts and secret arguments to "justify" his killings. Go back to using your account Jerry. We can recognize your trolling anywhere.

    1. Yeah, here instead of the ration card, you get an IRS audit. Really not sure what's worse...

    2. Yep. Being a willing slave is even worse than being one of these slaves who were forced into it. The presidential lovefest is downright sickening to behold.
